Kaipara Flats Rugby Club was established in 1886 where it was played until 1989, when the club amalgamated with Warkworth and Omaha to form Mahurangi RFC, which became – and continues to be – a dominant force in North Harbour Rugby.
The Kaipara Flats community remains an integral part of Mahurangi RFC – with many residents and families playing, officiating and coaching at the club.

The club is always looking for new players and coaches at all levels for Rugby and Touch Rugby.

Mahurangi Junior Rugby
We run Junior rugby for boys and girls
Rippa (non contact) for ages 4-7, |Tackle Rugby for ages 8-13.
Practice for Juniors is from 3.30 pm on Tuesday (Seniors training from 6pm).
Touch Rugby is played during Summer on Thursdays.
