Visit Warkworth's Past
From the past to the present, we have a magnificent display of colonial history. On the first floor there are re-created rooms of the 1920’s – a corner store, kitchen, bedrooms, sitting room, carpentry and blacksmith workshops and a wash house showing the furniture, clothing and the tools of yesteryear. There are many exhibits to explore, such as The Working Machinery Exhibit and walks through the native bush of the Parry Kauri Park, with it’s magnificent McKinney and Simpson kauri trees – the largest trees of their kind to be seen on the east coast of New Zealand.
